Suspension and Steering Repair

  • Shock Absorber and Strut Replacement: Shock absorbers and struts dampen vibrations and help maintain tire contact with the road surface. Over time, they can wear out, leading to poor handling, excessive bouncing, and uneven tire wear. Replacement of worn shocks and struts improves ride quality and ensures proper vehicle control.
  • Suspension Spring Replacement: Suspension springs support the weight of the vehicle and help absorb road shocks. Broken or worn-out springs can lead to sagging suspension, uneven ride height, and poor handling. Replacement of damaged or weakened springs restores proper suspension function and vehicle stability.
  • Control Arm Replacement: Control arms connect the suspension to the vehicle’s frame or chassis and control the wheel’s movement. Worn or damaged control arms can cause alignment issues, uneven tire wear, and noise during steering. Replacement of worn control arms restores proper alignment and handling.
  • Ball Joint Replacement: Ball joints connect the steering knuckle to the control arms and allow for smooth steering and suspension movement. Worn ball joints can cause steering play, uneven tire wear, and a clunking noise while driving. Replacement of worn ball joints ensures safe and responsive steering.
  • Tie Rod End Replacement: Tie rod ends connect the steering rack to the steering knuckles and transmit steering input to the wheels. Worn tie rod ends can cause steering play, wandering, and uneven tire wear. Replacement of worn tie rod ends restores precise steering and ensures proper wheel alignment.
  • Steering Rack or Gearbox Replacement: The steering rack (in rack-and-pinion steering systems) or gearbox (in recirculating ball steering systems) translates steering input into movement of the front wheels. Leaks, excessive play, or binding in the steering system may necessitate replacement of the steering rack or gearbox to ensure safe and responsive steering.
  • Power Steering Pump Replacement: The power steering pump provides hydraulic assistance to make steering easier. A malfunctioning or noisy power steering pump can lead to difficulty steering, especially at low speeds. Replacement of a faulty power steering pump restores smooth and effortless steering.
  • Wheel Alignment: Wheel alignment adjusts the angles of the wheels to ensure they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. Proper wheel alignment improves handling, tire wear, and fuel efficiency. Regular wheel alignments are recommended after suspension repairs or whenever abnormal tire wear or handling issues are observed.
  • Wheel Bearing Replacement: Wheel bearings support the vehicle’s weight and allow the wheels to rotate smoothly. Worn or damaged wheel bearings can cause wheel vibration, noise, and premature tire wear. Replacement of worn wheel bearings restores smooth and quiet operation of the wheels.
